Paul Le Guen It was announced on March 11th 2006 that Paul Le Guen would take over the managers job at Rangers in the summer of 2006. He comes with a great pedigree from his job with Olympique Lyon in France taking them to three successive Ligue 1 titles and into the Champions League. Walter Smith Rangers owner David Murray announced on 10th Jan 2007 that Walter Smith would be returning to Rangers to manage the team for a second time along with Ally McCoist and Kenny McDowall named as the dream team. 2007 - 2011 |
Ally McCoist Rangers chief executive Martin Bain announced on 22nd Feb 2011 that Ally McCoist would take over the managers job from the retiring Walter Smith at the start of season 2011 - 2012. It was revealed the the job had been offered to him with the full backing of Walter Smith in December 2010 while the team were in Turkey for a Champions League game. 2011 |
